Zagreb

DAY 1 ZAGREB - Arrival
Upon arrival at Zagreb Airport, transfer to hotel.
Dinner and overnight in Zagreb.

DAY 2 ZAGREB - Hrvatsko Zagorje Castles - VARAŽDIN
Morning sightseeing tour of Zagreb, including the fortified Upper Town, St. Mark’s Church with its multicoloured roof and the Cathedral. Departure for Hrvatsko Zagorje, visit to Kumrovec ethno-village with its traditional wooden houses and old crafts. Continuation to Trakošcan Castle (13th century) with its tower, surrounded by a romantic park. We proceed to Oršic, one of the most beautiful baroque castles of Hrvatsko Zagorje, with its Museum of Peasants’ Mutiny in 1573. Continuation to Varaždin.
Dinner and overnight in Varaždin.

DAY 3 VARAŽDIN - HLEBINE - ORAHOVICA
The beautiful baroque city of Varaždin was declared in 1209 a free royal city by Hungarian-Croatian king Andrew II and later on it became the capital of Croatia. Morning city tour includes the mediaeval city center with the old Fortress, housing the Town Museum, and the old baroque cemetery. Departure for Hlebine, the cradle of Croatian naïve painting, for a visit to the Gallery of Naïve Art and the Gallery of Ivan Generalic, famous Croatian naïve painter. Continuation to Orahovica, visiting en route a typical Podravina house and ethno-museum of the Camba family in Đurdevac.

DAY 4 ORAHOVICA - PAPUK Nature Park - KUTJEVO Abbey - OSIJEK
This morning we will visit the Papuk Nature Park, known for its beautiful forest landscapes and protected geological monuments, being the oldest mountain in Croatia. We continue to Kutjevo where we tour the famous Cistercian Abbey of Kutjevo with its well known wine cellars dating from 1232 and enjoy wine tasting. We proceed to Osijek, Slavonia’s largest city. Sightseeing of Osijek includes the old Upper Town with the church of St. Peter and St. Paul, and the baroque district Fort (Tvra) with city walls. Dinner at a typical restaurant in Osijek.
Overnight in Osijek.

DAY 5 OSIJEK - Full day excursion to KOPACKI RIT Nature Park and VUKOVAR
Morning boat ride and walking tour of Kopacki Rit, one of the largest marshlands in Europe, known for the richest habitat of the red deer. Around 260 various bird species nest here, and many others use it as a temporary shelter on their migration routes. We proceed to Vukovar, the city that was heavily damaged, also well known for its defense during the Croatian Independence War. Sightseeing tour includes a visit to the City Museum (Eltz Manor), the baroque city center and the cemetery.
Overnight in Osijek.

DAY 6 OSIJEK - ĐAKOVO - VRPOLJE Meštrovic Gallery - ZAGREB
Departure for Đakovo for a visit to the Cathedral of St. Peter. We proceed to the famous Đakovo stud farm of Lipizzaner horses that has a 500-year long tradition in breeding horses. Continuation to Vrpolje for a visit to the Gallery of Ivan Mestrovic, the greatest Croatian sculptor. Departure for Zagreb, stopping en route in the Lonjsko Polje Nature Park to visit Krapje with typical village architecture.
Dinner and overnight in Zagreb.

DAY 7 ZAGREB - full day to PLITVICE LAKES National Park
Morning departure for the Plitvice Lakes National Park, included in the UNESCO’s List of World Natural Heritage. We tour the park of a rare beauty with its sixteen lakes, each at a different level, connected in a series of cascading waterfalls and surrounded by dense wood. Return to Zagreb for overnight.
Overnight in Zagreb.

After breakfast, departure transfer to Zagreb Airport.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

How to Make Your Reservation: After selecting your tour, simply click on SEND REQUEST button, and fill in the booking form, with as much details as possible. Please make your reservations as early as possible since many of our tours are completely filled 4 to 6 months before departure.

Payment Method: Once you are confirmed the availability of tour, we will send you pro forma invoice for deposit and final payment. Payments can be done in three ways: PAYPAL, credit card (VISA, AMEX,and Mastercard), or money transfer order to our bank account. 

Deposit: The amount of deposit differs depending on the tour, but is usually 30% of the total amount adn is due from 7 to 14 days after the reservation. Upon receiving the deposit or credit card authorization form, you will be sent a depostit confirmation.

Final Payment: Final payment is usually due 45 days prior to the departure date. If reservations are made less than 45 days prior to departure, payment in full is required at the time of booking. If final payments are not received on time, Avansa Travel d.o.o. may cancel the reservation and invoke the cancellation fee.

Confirmation: Once we recieve the final payment in total ammount you will be sent the VOUCHER with booking details. Please print it and take it with you to present it to our travel representative at the airport.

Pricing: Price quoted is per person based on double occupancy. The Operator reserves the right to adjust prices due to fluctuations in foreign exchange rates, imposed fuel surcharges, taxes, charges and levies imposed by any third party including government and its agencies. Should these change the price of your tour by more than 10% you may cancel without penalty within 7 days after we notify you of the increase.

Cancellation, Changes and Refunds: If your cancellation in writing is received more than 45 days prior to departure, your deposit will be FULLY REFUNDED. For cancellations or changes thereafter, the following cancelation fees will apply:

In addition, no refunds are made for unused portions of a tour including but not limited to missed meals or sightseeing, motorcoach travel and the non-use of hotel rooms.

Refund claims: Any complaint about your tour should be made immediately to the tour director.
All refund claims must be submitted to Avansa Travel in writing within 15 days of the completion of the tour.

IMPORTANT:

Booking is considered to be finalized upon recipient of confirmation from Avansa Travel ltd.

You MUST provide us with passport details and ensure you have valid travel documents (passport obligatory and visa if required). All visa requirements are the sole responsibility of the traveler. Requirements may change and you must check the up-to-date position in good time before departure. It is your responsibility to ensure you are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents before departure. All costs incurred in obtaining such documentation must be paid by you. We cannot accept liability if you are refused entry on to any transport or into any country due to failure on your part to carry correct documentation. If failure to have any necessary travel or other documents results in fines, surcharges or other financial penalty being imposed on us, you will be responsible for reimbursing us accordingly.
