This is your chance to see the highlights like the  Archeological Park of Nesactium in Pula, the Archeological Park of Salona in Solin near Split and the Archeological Park of Narona in Vid, with a visit to UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage: Diocletian’s Palace in Split, Old Town of Trogir, Old Town of Dubrovnik, St. Jacob's Cathedral in Šibenik and Euphrasius' Basilica in Poreč.

Zagreb

DAY 1 ZAGREB - Arrival
Upon arrival at Zagreb Airport, transfer to hotel for overnight.
Overnight in Zagreb.

opatija

DAY 2 ZAGREB - OPATIJA
Morning sightseeing tour of Zagreb, including the fortified Upper Town, St. Marks’s Church, the Stone Gate, the Cathedral, and the Croatian Archeological Museum, housing prehistoric, Greek, Roman and mediaeval collections, Lapidarius and a large numismatic collection. The Egyptian Collection includes the famous Zagreb Mummy with the longest Etruscan inscription on the linen wrapping, “The Etruscan Linen Book of Zagreb”. Departure for Opatija.
Overnight in Opatija.

DAY 3 OPATIJA - Full day excursion to Istria (Nesactium, Pula, Porec)
On our way to Pula, we stop at the Archeological Park of Nesactium, (remains of prehistoric and Roman town). We visit the town of Pula, with Roman Amphitheatre, Temple of Augustus, Triumphal Arch of Sergius, Gate of Hercules, Basilica of St. Maria Formosa (6th century), the Cathedral and Archeological Museum of Istria. Continuation to Porec for a visit to the 6th century Euphrasius Basilica, classified as UNESCO’s World Cultural Monument. Return to Opatija.
Overnight in Opatija.

DAY 4 OPATIJA - SENJ - RAB - ZADAR
Morning departure for Senj to visit its Cathedral and the 16th century Renaissance fortress of Nehaj. Continuation to Rab, a mediaeval city dominated by four bell towers (ferry from Jablanac to Mišnjak). City tour of Rab, including a visit to Lapidarium and the 12th century Romanesque Cathedral of Assumption of Our Lady with its Great Bell Tower. In 2006, the Cathedral received the highest EU prize “Europa Nostra” for a comprehensive research and skillful restoration of cultural heritage. Return with the same ferry and continuation to Zadar.

DAY 5 ZADAR and excursion to NIN
Morning city tour of Zadar includes Roman Forum (1st century B.C.), St. Donatus Church, the most famous early mediaeval monument (9th century), the Cathedral of St. Anastasia, Archeological Museum and the permanent exhibition “Gold and Silver of Zadar” in the Museum of Benedictine Monastery. Afternoon drive to Nin, the seat of the first Croatian prince Višeslav (8th century), later the first Croatian bishop. Here we visit two churches of unique pre-Romanesque architecture, the church of Holy Cross (9th century), and St. Nicola’s Church (11th century). Return to Zadar.
Overnight in Zadar.

DAY 6 ZADAR - ŠIBENIK- TROGIR - SPLIT
Departure for Šibenik to visit its Renaissance Cathedral of St. Jacob, included in the UNESCO’s List of World Cultural Monuments, and the City Museum, followed by a panoramic view from the town’s oldest fortress of St. Anne. Continuation to Trogir, a picturesque mediaeval town included in the UNESCO’s List of World Cultural Heritage. Visit to St. Lawrence Cathedral with its famous Romanesque portal dating from the 13th century, Benedictine Church and Monastery of St. Nicola, housing the relief of Kairos, and the pre-Romanesque church of St. Barbara (9th century). Arrival in Split.

DAY 7 SPLIT and excursion to SALONA
Morning city tour of Split, covering Diocletian’s Palace, listed as UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage, with the Peristyle, Jupiter’s Temple and the Cathedral. Visit to the Museum of Croatian Archeological Monuments. Afternoon departure for Solin, visit to the Archeological Park with remains of the ancient Salona, the seat of the Roman province of Dalmatia. We visit Tusculum Museum and Porta Caesarea, Forum, baths, parts of the city walls, Theatre and city necropolis with sarcophagus. Return to Split.

DAY 8 SPLIT - NARONA - TRSTENO - DUBROVNIK
Morning departure for Metkovic and Vid, the ancient settlement of Narona, once an important Roman trade and political center. Visit to the Archeological Park, including the segments of the city walls, of the Forum with mosaics, the church of St. Vitus with the Baptistery, and the new Archeological Museum built on the site of the Temple of Augustus presenting 15 sculptures of the Emperor, family members, Roman dignitaries and deities. Continuation to Ston, visit to its 15th century city wall and fortresses, and salt ponds. On our way to Dubrovnik we stop in Trsteno to visit its famous Renaissance garden and Arboretum.
Overnight in Dubrovnik.

Dubrovnik Old Town

DAY 9 DUBROVNIK
City tour of the Old Town of Dubrovnik, included in the UNESCO’s List of World Cultural Heritage. Visit Franciscan Church and Monastery with the 3rd oldest pharmacy in Europe (1317), Dominican Monastery and Museum housing the works of the Dubrovnik Painting School (15th -16th centuries), Rector’s Palace, the Cathedral with its Treasury housing the relics of St. Blaise, St. Blaise’s Church, and Rupe Museum. In the afternoon we tour the 1940 meters long City Walls with their numerous fortresses and towers, one of the most beautiful and best preserved defense complexes in the world.
Overnight in Dubrovnik.

DAY 10 DUBROVNIK - Departure
After breakfast, departure transfer to Dubrovnik Airport.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

How to Make Your Reservation: After selecting your tour, simply click on SEND REQUEST button, and fill in the booking form, with as much details as possible. Please make your reservations as early as possible since many of our tours are completely filled 4 to 6 months before departure.

Payment Method: Once you are confirmed the availability of tour, we will send you pro forma invoice for deposit and final payment. Payments can be done in three ways: PAYPAL, credit card (VISA, AMEX,and Mastercard), or money transfer order to our bank account. 

Deposit: The amount of deposit differs depending on the tour, but is usually 30% of the total amount adn is due from 7 to 14 days after the reservation. Upon receiving the deposit or credit card authorization form, you will be sent a depostit confirmation.

Final Payment: Final payment is usually due 45 days prior to the departure date. If reservations are made less than 45 days prior to departure, payment in full is required at the time of booking. If final payments are not received on time, Avansa Travel d.o.o. may cancel the reservation and invoke the cancellation fee.

Confirmation: Once we recieve the final payment in total ammount you will be sent the VOUCHER with booking details. Please print it and take it with you to present it to our travel representative at the airport.

Pricing: Price quoted is per person based on double occupancy. The Operator reserves the right to adjust prices due to fluctuations in foreign exchange rates, imposed fuel surcharges, taxes, charges and levies imposed by any third party including government and its agencies. Should these change the price of your tour by more than 10% you may cancel without penalty within 7 days after we notify you of the increase.

Cancellation, Changes and Refunds: If your cancellation in writing is received more than 45 days prior to departure, your deposit will be FULLY REFUNDED. For cancellations or changes thereafter, the following cancelation fees will apply:

In addition, no refunds are made for unused portions of a tour including but not limited to missed meals or sightseeing, motorcoach travel and the non-use of hotel rooms.

Refund claims: Any complaint about your tour should be made immediately to the tour director.
All refund claims must be submitted to Avansa Travel in writing within 15 days of the completion of the tour.


IMPORTANT:

Booking is considered to be finalized upon recipient of confirmation from Avansa Travel ltd.

You MUST provide us with passport details and ensure you have valid travel documents (passport obligatory and visa if required). All visa requirements are the sole responsibility of the traveler. Requirements may change and you must check the up-to-date position in good time before departure. It is your responsibility to ensure you are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents before departure. All costs incurred in obtaining such documentation must be paid by you. We cannot accept liability if you are refused entry on to any transport or into any country due to failure on your part to carry correct documentation. If failure to have any necessary travel or other documents results in fines, surcharges or other financial penalty being imposed on us, you will be responsible for reimbursing us accordingly.
