day1-arrival-dubrovnik

DAY 1 Sunday DUBROVNIK - Arrival
Check in from 13.00h onwards (GRUŽ harbour) with dinner as first meal. First overnight is planned in Dubrovnik -a unique town on the Adriatic. The special charm of this old city are the buildings that have remained from the time of the old Dubrovnik Republic. A larger part of the monuments of history and culture belong to the fine but modest Renaissance architecture with some traces of the Gothic style. Use the afternoon to explore the city walls and plan what to do your last night on the cruise when we return to this wonderful city.

DAY 2 Monday DUBROVNIK - MLJET
We continue our journey after breakfast towards the island and national park Mljet. Lunch on board.The whole afternoon is free to enjoy the salt lakes in National Park and enjoy the sun and sea on this peaceful island. In the middle of the large lake, inside the National park, one can visit an old abbey and church, or just use a small boat to roam around the National park. Here you can rent bicycles and cycle around the lakes.
Lunch on board and overnight in port Polače or Pomena.

DAY 3 Tuesday MLJET - HVAR
Early in the morning we depart towards the little island of Šćedro located off the south coast of the island of Hvar, where we will have time to relax and refresh in the clean, crystal blue sea. After lunch we departure for the island of Hvar . This is the longest island in the Adriatic and officially the sunniest! The Renaissance cathedral with its original tower, the oldest community theatre in Europe founded here in 1612 and the lovely horseshoe shaped harbour are the main attractions. Hvar town offers plenty of restaurants, bars, cafes and clubs that are open long into the night. As well as being known for the sunniest climate in Croatia, Hvar also has a jet-set pedigree often attracting some rather famous visitors in summer.

DAY 4 Wednesday HVAR - BOL - SPLIT
We leave Hvar and continue our cruise towards the island of Brač, more precisely to the town of Bol, best known for its famous Zlatni rat beach (Golden horn), a natural phenomenon that with its specific form dominates the other beaches of Croatia. We arrive in Split in the late afternoon. Split is Croatia’s second city, a busy university and maritime town and the capital of the Dalmatia region. Split is a city under UNESCO protection, and its historical and cultural monuments are wondrous both to local inhabitants, but also to the many visitors who fall in love with this 1,000 plus year old beauty. There’s the possibility of joining a sightseeing tour of the old town including Diocletian's palace which the Roman emperor had built as his retirement home.

DAY 5 Thursday SPLIT - KORČULA
Early morning departure towards the Korčula island best known as the birthplace of Marco Polo. Stop for lunch in one of the secluded bays en route. Early afternoon arrival in Korčula. On this Island you can find more legends, tales and monuments than anywhere else while you wander along the herringbone pattern streets. Korčula has an abundant choice of restaurants where you can continue your gourmet experience and there are many bars and clubs for those looking for evening entertainment.

DAY 6 Friday KORČULA - ŠIPAN
Early in the morning we continue our trip towards the Elafiti islands, a group of islands west of Dubrovnik. They include Šipan, Lopud and Koločep (Kalamota). They attract many tourists with their beautiful scenery and sandy beaches. Swimming and lunch is planned at one of the smaller Elafiti islands. ŠIPAN, the largest island of the Elafiti, is also the most distant from Dubrovnik. This is where we will spend the night and offer Captain`s dinner.

DAY 7 Saturday ŠIPAN - DUBROVNIK
Early departure for Dubrovnik with breakfast on route. Enjoy the beautiful sights of nature along the way towards "the heaven on earth" –according to the famous writer George Bernard Shaw. Lunch on board and arrival to Dubrovnik early in the afternoon (around 2pm) and have a whole afternoon free to explore Dubrovnik or go for a swim. You can explore Dubrovnik on your own or first join our guided tour of Dubrovnik with an English speaking guide. Take a walk through STRADUN – both a street and a square, a promenade inside the city walls. For those of you with more enthusiasm we recommend a walk on top of the 1940m long city walls! Overnight in the GRUŽ port of this magical town.

DAY 8 Sunday DUBROVNIK - Departure
After early breakfast we say goodbye to the crew and all your new friends!

This will be your cruising route:

DUBROVNIK – MLJET - HVAR - BOL – SPLIT – KORČULA – ŠIPAN - DUBROVNIK

Departure is from Dubrovnik harbor on Day 2 after breakfast. Check in on Day 1 from 13:00. You will be able to leave your baggage on the boat, but cabin will be ready for you earliest by 13:00.

Dubrovnik harbor – the main ferry harbor (look for signs “TRAJEKTNA LUKA”) in Dubrovnik near the central bus terminals! Unfortunately we cannot provide dock number as ships are arranged differently each Saturday according to directions from the Port Authority, however there will be representative around the harbor.

Before you departure we would like to give you some useful information:
Please note that if you have booked an ON DECK CABIN that these cabins are situated on MAIN and UPPER DECKS. LOWER DECK cabins are situated in the hull of the ship below the main deck. Cabins are allocated according to the time of booking and special requests made at the time of reservation.

Premium steel hulled vessels with modern traditional look offer accommodation in air-conditioned, spacious en-suite cabins with double or twin beds, hair dryer and safety deposit box. Ships are from 29 to 35m in length with cabins 8 to 14m2 in size. Included services: buffet breakfasts, three course lunches, Captain’s dinner, guided tour of Dubrovnik, daily cabin service, mid-week fresh set of towels and bed linen, luggage handling, olive oil and wine tasting on board, afternoon tea and coffee.

First service on board is DINNER on the day of arrival !

Special note:
The Captain reserves the right to change the route in case of bad weather conditions.
Departures are guaranteed. Avansa Travel reserves the right in cancelling departures with less than 10 participants and changing ship name if need arises.
Guests have to follow ship rules ( see below but also to be found in written form on the ship) esp. with regards to not bringing drinks on-board and in case of bad behavior Captain reserves the right in asking clients to disembark.

BEHAVIOUR, SHIP RULES & PROBLEM RESOLUTION

We share our responsibility to protect Croatia's environment, customs and traditions with our guests and require that our travelers respect the Captain and have consideration for his boat as it represents his family's livelihood. The following ship rules are to protect our customers on the boats and we expect all clients to have consideration for other people.
If in our reasonable opinion or in the reasonable opinion of anyone in authority, you or any third party, we are entitled to terminate the travel arrangements of the person(s) concerned with no refund.

1.All passengers on board are obliged to abide to the captain's orders, as he is responsible for the safety of all passengers and the crew.
2.Passports have to be given to the Captain for registration on the first day of the cruise.
3.Jumping or diving from the boat during navigation and swimming far from the boat or coast should be avoided.
4.During rough weather (large waves, wind) it's not allowed to walk on the boat, but if necessary, movement should be done with care.
5.Guests must close the portholes in cabins under deck during navigation, to avoid getting wet by the sea water entering cabin through the porthole.
6.As the boat is explicitly acoustic all passengers are asked to behave accordingly.
7.Kindly respect night peace on the boat, which officially starts at midnight (without exception).
8.Smoking in the cabins and restaurant area is not permitted.
9.Passengers are not permitted to bring drinks and food on the boat. This includes all drinks and food products purchased on shore in ports of call. The only exceptions are: personal care products, liquid medicine, food products specifically for infants and food products for special diets. Typical regional products purchased during visit to the ports will be stored on board to be returned to passengers at the end of the cruise.
10.Any damage by any passenger must be compensated to the Captain. Lost cabin keys will be charged 150 kuna per key.
11.It is strictly forbidden to throw rubbish into the sea.
12.Water is problem on every boat, so it is necessary to be conservative with it. The same applies to the electricity which runs on a generator.
13.For safety and security reasons climbing on the masts is forbidden.
14.Guests are obliged to respect meal times on board, which are placed on board in the salon.
15.The floors on a boat can often be wet and slippery so running across the boat is not allowed. Passenger should take extra care crossing between the boats when they are docked together in port. Do not hesitate to ask a crew member for assistance when crossing. Any moving around and between the ships are the individuals responsibility , so please do take care.
16.SAFETY MEASURES – All ships are quipped with life jackets for each passenger and crew member. Life jackets can be found under the bed in your cabins or under the seats in the restaurant area.
We only wish for happy customers on our boats and until we know about a problem or complaint, we cannot begin to resolve it. Most problems can be dealt with quickly as there is no reason to endure ongoing problems on your trip. The Captain and crew will be available to assist and will do their best to make your stay on board a most pleasurable one.
17.Service charge is not included in the price and therefore please tip at your own discretion.

PAYMENT INFORMATION

How to Make Your Reservation: After selecting your cruise, simply click on SEND REQUEST button, and fill in the booking form, with as much details as possible. Please make your reservations as early as possible since many of our tours are completely filled 4 to 6 months before departure.

Deposit: Once you are confirmed the availability of cruise, we will send you pro forma invoice for deposit and final payment. Payments can be done in these ways: PayPal, credit card (VISA, AMEX,and Mastercard) or money transfer order to our bank account (preferred). If paying by PAYPAL processing fee of 3% applies.The amount of deposit is 30% of the total cruise price per person with minimum amount of 170 Euro per person.

Final Payment: Upon receiving the deposit or credit card authorization form, you will be sent a confirmation. Final payment is usually due 45 days prior to the departure date. If reservations are made less than 45 days prior to departure, payment in full is required at the time of booking. If final payments are not received on time, Avansa Travel d.o.o. may cancel the reservation and invoke the cancellation fee.

Pricing: Price quoted is per person based on double occupancy. The Operator reserves the right to adjust prices due to fluctuations in foreign exchange rates, imposed fuel surcharges, taxes, charges and levies imposed by any third party including government and its agencies. Should these change the price of your tour by more than 10% you may cancel without penalty within 7 days after we notify you of the increase.

Cancellation, Changes & Refunds: From the day of confirmation up to 30 days prior to arrival - Eur 170 per person (of deposit payment) is non refundable. For cancellations or changes thereafter, the following cancellation fees will apply:

In addition, no refunds are made for unused portions of a cruise including but not limited to missed meals or sightseeing, cruise travel and the non-use of cabins.
Name change / date change fee - 20 Eur per person. Valid only if the change is done up till 30 days prior booked departure, otherwise regular cancellation will be applied!
Avansa Travel highly recommends clients to take insurance against cancellation of reserved services.

Refund claims: Any complaint about your tour should be made immediately to the captain or cruise deirector.
All refund claims must be submitted to Avansa Travel in writing within 15 days of the completion of the tour.


IMPORTANT:

Booking is considered to be finalized upon recipient of confirmation from Avansa Travel ltd.

You MUST provide us with passport details and ensure you have valid travel documents (passport obligatory and visa if required). All visa requirements are the sole responsibility of the traveler. Requirements may change and you must check the up-to-date position in good time before departure. It is your responsibility to ensure you are in possession of all necessary travel and health documents before departure. All costs incurred in obtaining such documentation must be paid by you. We regret we cannot accept liability if you are refused entry on to any transport or into any country due to failure on your part to carry correct documentation. If failure to have any necessary travel or other documents results in fines, surcharges or other financial penalty being imposed on us, you will be responsible for reimbursing us accordingly.
