Aboard the new Superior Deluxe ship Mama Marija and explore the beauty of Dalmatia. Lacey of islands, pebbly of beaches and green of lush forests, the south of the Croatian coast is simply ideal for cruising.
The islands come at close distance, coupling nature, culture, history and tradition into unique personalities. Starting from the largest Dalmatian town, Split, travel from one fascinating island to the next, visiting Brač, Hvar, Vis, Korčula, Mljet and Šipan along the way.
Finally, reach the southernmost point of the country and the country’s most popular gem, Dubrovnik.
SUPERIOR CRUISE Itinerary
DAY 1 | Split boarding
The beautiful small luxury cruise ship Mama Mia will be docked in Split harbour where you can board during the entire day. After checking in you can relax in your cozy cabin and get to know your new home for the next 7 days.
Join us for a welcome meeting at 7 p.m. Our Cruise director will introduce you to the Captain, crew and of course your future fellow passengers with whom you will spend a week on board. Therefore, prepare yourself for an evening full of fun while enjoying a delicious Mediterranean full-course dinner. Overnight in Split
DAY 2 | Split | Trogir
Spend the day getting to know two coastal gems, one large and one small. The morning is about discovering Split with your local guide. The second largest city in the country and its most important harbor revolves around its historic core, the Diocletian’s Palace. Originally built for only one man – the Roman Emperor Diocletian, it today houses 3000 people and brims with everyday life.
Your next stop, Trogir, is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. Delve into its elegant architecture and see the crown-beauty, the grandiose Cathedral of St. Lawrence, one of the most prized sacral edifices in the country. After a guided walking tour, enjoy an evening on your own discovering the shopping and dining scene of Trogir. Overnight in Trogir.
DAY 3 | Trogir | Bol | Hvar
Two hotspots of the Croatian Adriatic await! First, visit the town of Bol on Brač Island and the Golden Horn (Zlatni Rat) beach. Known for changing its shape with the wind, this stunning strip of sand is perhaps one of the most recognized brochure images in Croatia. Enjoy a refreshing dip or explore the lovely town. Lunch will be served on board as you cruise over to the trendy town of Hvar on Hvar Island.
Magical and enchanting, Hvar seduces at first sight, and wine enthusiasts, history buffs and international jet-setters will all love it. Stroll around to admire the splendid Venetian facades, glistening stone alleys and the happening boardwalk, while your guide introduces you to the past and present of this lovely town. Enjoy the evening on your own, and perhaps get a taste of Hvar’s raved-about nightlife. Overnight in Hvar town.
DAY 4 | Hvar | Biševo | Vis
With the mercy of the seas, you will visit the island of Biševo and its surreal Blue Cave. A fantastic natural phenomenon, the cave bathes in translucent turquoise light which enters through a single crack in the cave walls. However, concealed by a narrow entrance, it can become inaccessible during high tides. If this is the case on the morning of the departure, you can alternatively choose a half-day tour to visit the fishermen’s village of Komiža and the intriguing WWII RAF Airport on the island of Vis. The rest of the day is to be spent on the island of Vis.
For a larger part of the 20th century, Vis was closed off to the public as a Yugoslav military base, so it remains wondrously preserved. At the town of Vis, the island’s main center and marina, the lights of sailing ship masts sparkle against the stone facades like Christmas lights, making this tiny seaside village pulse with delight year-round. Overnight in the town of Vis.
DAY 5 | Vis | Korčula
Cruise south to discover the island of Korčula, covered in a thick veil of lush Mediterranean forests. Its craggy shores are dotted with small seaside towns known for good looks, great food and fantastic wines. Taking you inside the medieval walls of Korčula Old Town, your guide will tell you all about its fishbone street layout, the times it spent as a Venetian stronghold, the funky statues adorning the front of the St. Mark’s Cathedral and some of the finest stonework in Croatia!
Home of the great explorer Marco Polo, Korčula is a true gem to explore so enjoy the rest of the evening discovering its winding alleys on your own. Overnight in Korčula Old Town.
DAY 6 | Korčula | Mljet | Šipan or Slano
Korčula is lushly green, but with 90% of the island covered in forests, it is actually Mljet which takes the title of Croatia’s ‘greenest island’. Its western tip is a National Park which features two interconnected lakes with a 12th-century Monastery of St. Mary sitting on small islet. Immersed in the chirping of crickets, shuffling of leaves and salt-scented air, stroll around the lakes, swim or kayak before getting back on the boat to continue the cruise to Šipan.
The largest island of the Elaphite archipelago was once very popular with local nobility, and still today retains the tranquil, sophisticated air about it. Just a perfect setting for your Captain’s dinner! It is only in the case of unfavorable weather that the dinner would happen in the coastal town of Slano, another favorite of Dubrovnik’s captains. Overnight in Luka Šipanska or Slano.
DAY 7 | Cruise to Dubrovnik City Walls
A sail along the Elaphite archipelago is a wonderful overture to an encounter with the mighty city walls of Dubrovnik. Cruise beneath the walls and enjoy a memorable lunch in front of Dubrovnik Old Town. Whether we dock in front of the Old Harbor or in the Bay of Gruž, the last evening of your Adriatic cruise will take you into the historic center of Dubrovnik.
Croatia’s most popular UNESCO site was once a Republic of its own, famed for an incredible diplomatic skill which kept it prospering between the Ottoman Empire and the Venetian Republic. Today, Dubrovnik is a popular movie set, having hosted productions like the HBO Game of Thrones, Star Wars and Robin Hood. Explore its centuries and the landmarks in walking tour of the Old Town before creating your own grand finale of the cruise. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
DAY 8 | Dubrovnik departure
Enjoy your breakfast and disembark the ship by 9AM. Farewell might not be easy, but this cruise will definitely not be your last encounter with Croatia. With your memories, photos and contacts you will keep sailing with us for some more time!

The beautiful deluxe cruise ship Splendid will be docked in Split harbour where you can board during the entire day. After checking in you can relax in your cozy cabin and get to know your new home.
You can also leave your luggage and take your time to explore Split. We’ll do a guided walking tour tomorrow.

DAY 2 | Split | Omiš | Pučišća (Brač)
Start your day by discovering the second largest city in Croatia, Split, in a walking tour. With an English speaking guide, visit its historic core, the Diocletian’s Palace, and unveil the centuries off the town’s urbanity, over 1700 years old! As everyday life buzzes around you, stroll past romantic palaces, turn narrow street corners and admire amazing edifices like the Cathedral of St. Dominus or the Peristyle. At noon, cruise from Split to the petite but stunningly beautiful Omiš. Backed by dramatic cliffs at the mouth of the river Cetina, Omiš was once the epicenter of rebellion against the Venetians and Turks and the home of Omiš pirates. After Omiš, head to the island of stone – Brač, to visit its capital of stone masonry, Pučišća. Carved into the island’s shores like a fjord, Pučišća contrast the surrounding green hills with the white stone of their facades, the same stone featured on the Diocletian’s Palace, and also the White House! Enjoy a relaxed stroll and then the rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Pučišća.
DAY 3 | Pučišća | Bol | Hvar
Two hotspots of the Croatian Adriatic await! First, visit the town of Bol on Brač Island and the Golden Horn (Zlatni Rat) beach. Known for changing its shape with the wind, this stunning strip of sand is perhaps one of the most recognized brochure images in Croatia. Enjoy a refreshing dip or explore the oldest settlement on the island. Lunch will be served on board as you cruise over to the trendy town of Hvar on Hvar Island.

However, concealed by a narrow entrance, it can become inaccessible during high tides. DAY 6 | Korčula | Mljet
Korčula is lushly green, but with 90% of the island covered in forests, it is actually Mljet which takes the title of Croatia’s ‘greenest island’. Over your lunch on board, practice pronouncing the name of this island where Odysseus allegedly crashed. A place of myths and legends, the wondrously green western tip of Mljet is today a Croatan National Park. You will spend the rest of the day here, free to explore the two saltwater lakes, connected to the sea with a small channel. The lakes are dotted with a small islet and a 12th century Monastery of St. Mary on it. Kayak, bike or just explore on foot and enjoy your evening at leisure. Overnight in Mljet Island.
DAY 7 | Mljet | Dubrovnik
A sail along the shores of Mljet and the Elaphite archipelago is a wonderful overture to an encounter with the mighty walls of Dubrovnik. En route, enjoy a swimming break and a lunch on board.
In Dubrovnik, you’ll take a short panoramic ride and then the walking tour of the Dubrovnik Old Town. Embraced in a cloak of medieval walls, its architecture couples medieval times with Renaissance grace and the splendor of Baroque. Today Dubrovnik is widely known as the set of the HBO Game of Thrones, Star Wars and Robin Hood, and a stroll through its alleys tells unique stories of both the past and the present. After the guided walking tour of Dubrovnik Old Town, enjoy discovering on your own, perhaps visit the City Walls or hop on the cable car for an aerial view from Mt. Srđ.
Return to the boat by the scheduled transfer or on your own for an overnight stay in Dubrovnik.
DAY 8 | Dubrovnik departure

Home of the great traveler Marco Polo, Korčula is a true gem to explore! Overnight in Korčula
DAY 5 | Korčula | Mljet
Korčula is lushly green, but with 90% of the island covered in forests, it is actually Mljet which takes the title of Croatia’s ‘greenest island’. Lying south of Korčula, this is the island where Odysseus allegedly crashed and then stayed for seven years. Your stay will allow you to enjoy Mljet’s greatest pride, the National Park on the western tip. Immersed in the chirping of crickets, shuffling of leaves and salt-scented air, join your Cruise Manager for a stroll to the two saltwater lakes. Take a boat over to the 12th-century Benedictine monastery on a small islet poised on one of the lakes. Alternatively, rent kayaks, bicycles, scooters or convertible cars and roam around the National Park or the island on your own, taking in the splendors of the Mediterranean as it once was. Overnight in the port Polače or Pomena.
DAY 6 | Mljet | Slano
Venture over to the coast for a day of tasty delights. You’ll dock in Slano, a small seaside town once loved by the Captains of the Dubrovnik Republic. Today, it is the starting point for your half-day excursion to Ston. This small town at the entrance to the Pelješac peninsula features some of the longest fortification walls in the world! You’ll walk a small portion of the Ston walls, then visit the reason for their existence: historic salt works, still in operation today. With the taste of salt still lingering, head over to an oyster farm for the grand finale – tasting of the region’s most famous aphrodisiac. After the tour, head back to Slano and embark the ship. In the evening, enjoy a great Captain’s dinner with live entertainment. Overnight in Slano
DAY 7 | Slano (Ston) | Dubrovnik
Sugar in the end: you will cruise south to the Pearl of the Adriatic, the magnificent Dubrovnik. Cruise along the city walls and savor a picture-perfect lunch on this splendid backdrop! After docking in Gruž Bay, a short transfer will take you to Dubrovnik Old Town for a walking tour.
Explore its centuries and landmarks in a walking tour of the Old Town before creating your own grand finale of the cruise. Then hop on the cable car to the top of Mt Srđ and delve in the bird’s-eye perspective of the Old Town’s terracotta roofs.
Spend the evening on your own, discovering Dubrovnik’s romantic ambiance and lively bar and restaurant scene. Overnight in Dubrovnik.
DAY 8 | Dubrovnik departure
Enjoy your breakfast and disembark the ship by 9AM. Your private transfer to Dubrovnik airport waits for you. Farewell might not be easy, but this cruise will definitely not be your last encounter with Croatia. With your memories, photos and contacts you will keep sailing with us for some more time!
